Capture Cards are better as they are designed specifically for that purpose and would be better than a gpu that’s trying to process both an input and output
I am a hardware engineer, i design and manufacture GPUs and upgradable VRAM seems like a good idea on paper, but it reduces performance in so many different ways that it's simply not feasible, but I'll gladly spin you up one if you want it that badly.
And when in need of PCI-E slots, just merge/split lanes as needed.
Makes sense because so many power gpu these days sends it to gnd , actually this is possible without any additions to the already existing circuit, but maybe so many circuits ends quicker to maintaining a healthy temperature, and adding new circuit will also cause raise in temperature 😮
What other features would you like a GPU to have?

They could milk that idea so much if they actually did it
Problem is dumb people will think their computer is broken when the port doesnt have an output.
graphic card motherboards. No need to buy a new gpu, have a pcb that you can easily put on different or more vram, and different dies.
4k po,rn
YES PLEASE
i need this
Looks like you all want the ATI All-In-Wonder 4mb it had ram slot to upgrade to 8mb and video input with TV tuner.
It's a great idea Zach! Puzzles me why they won't implement it, at least as an option.
usb c input/output. seriously why do no cards have a port
Watch the next big update be his idea.
YES!! I think that's a great idea and would be a welcome addition. As long as it didn't cost more than an Elgato capture card I'm In Like Flynn.
I will say I love the asuspro art cards design but sometimes I wish there was a larger version for a larger heat sink

good luck adding that feature within one day.
Ye nah upgradable vram is scary cuz then that's another way to monetize it and companies aren't nice when you give them that kind of thing
I swear they make those
this hdmi-in needs to be mobo not gpu, i need 4 monitors.
