  1. 12:15 This is a HUGE change in the game – Not necessarily a bad thing, I think we'll have to see how they implement it. Still, a HUGE fkn change for Civ. Thankfully, we'll have modders out there who can likely strip it from the game if it ends up borking the game

  2. Looks great, I've tried a few civilizations through the years but nothing ever hit quite like call to power 2 for me. It was so fun and its soundtrack was sublime. Such a shame they couldn't endure. Will give civ7 a try for sure though, cheers

  3. THAT was your big narration reveal? It was hyped so much at the start I thought they'd hired Morgan Freeman or Jeremy Irons… not the silver storm trooper lady whose name I don't even honestly know.

  4. I don't care what the haters say, this look magnificent and i loved the ages concept.
But it makes me sad and depressed watching this, i'm broke and don't have a machine capable of running this game :'(

  5. Gwendoline Christie’s narration reminds me of Dame Judy Dench’s narration for Spaceship Earth at EPCOT. Are you excited to play Civ VII? “Thank the Phoenicians!”

  6. 😂”sometimes” going to war??? Why are you guys trying to make this like a boring history class. LOOK… the reason we play is the race to built nukes and destroy everyone by conquest.

  7. I get a feeling you're going to ruin the franchise. Also 130 euro fou ders edition pre order is laughable. But you people must continue the trend of selling us half a game and then selling us more civs and wonders later. I hate what you're doing to the industry

  8. Still looks like overemphasized cartoonish type graphics, really breaks the suspension of disbelief. Really never moved past Civ V which is where the realism ended. Hard to see recent Civs as strategic games anymore.

  9. As a civ player since the first version, I feel like each version just layers more unnecessary complexity and irrelevant mechanics. It’s like the more they focus on making the game look better, the worse it plays.

  10. Jesus…We’ve been waiting 8 years. And now I’m scared. I mean, I’m open to trying this new mechanic out, but this whole civilization swap every age just sounds atrocious. I can only hope that the developers have done extensive play testing and found this mechanic to be organic and fun, but it is a complete turnoff instinctually. It seems to me that it would make far more sense if there were a pool of leaders specific to the chosen civ, ones corresponding to their appropriate eras, which the player could then promote according to their needs for the timeframe. That would be far more in line with the flavor of a game series your fans have come to love for decades. If I wanted to play Humankind, I’d play that. And, I don’t want to play that game.

I’m sorry, but if I were you guys, I wouldn’t be surprised if you get refund requests out the ass with this one come February 2025.
